Riverside welcomed Democratic nominee for governor, J.B. Pritzker, and Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor, Juliana Stratton, to the annual independence day parade.

Marching alongside the two nominees and also partaking in the parade festivities were Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs, State Senator Steven Landek, State Representatives Michael Zalewski and Lisa Hernandez, and Village President Benjamin Sells. The parade kicked off at 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Longcommon Rd and Delaplaine Rd and traveled south ending at downtown Riverside.
